*ON HOLD 2022* Breweries, country and bluegrass music, Statue of Liberty, Bayou, Blue Ridge Mountains, monuments and so much more. This adventure will take you to the hidden gem of Asheville, NC, known for its food and outdoor scene. You are going to do the East and South Coast the way a true American would. We will pack in twelve days of memories that you will talk about for years.
Day 1: New York
Our adventure begins at 8am in the hostel. After a welcome meeting and a tour overview you are free to enjoy the city on your own. Your leader will give you a subway pass allowing you to access any part of the city. New York City is one of a kind with its Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Madison Square Garden and the 8 million people population. There’s no other place like this. This evening we will meet up and head out to Times Square for some fun.

Day 2: Philadelphia
Today we will explore Philadelphia, which happens to be one of the most historically important cities in the country. You will have the chance to see the Liberty Bell, “Ben Franklin’s home”, some great pieces of art, and visit steps where the iconic scene from the movie “Rocky” took place. You will also have a chance to eat a famous Philly cheese steak.

Day 3: Washington, DC
The next two days of our trip we will be in the nation’s capital, Washington, DC. Not only is it the head of America’s political system but also is home to some of the greatest museums in America. Smithsonian, National Air and Space Museum, International Spy Museum and all those monuments.

Day 4: Washington, DC
Today you are free to explore Washington, DC, where you can see great monuments immortalizing some of America’s most influential people and pivotal moments. We will have a chance to stop by The White House, as well as some of the best museums in the world for you to explore. We suggest renting a bike for the day to see all the sites. Your tour leader can help you plan your day.

Day 5: Blue Ridge Parkway/Natural Bridge, VA
We set off today for an outdoor adventure on the beautiful “Skyline Drive”. This scenic route is a 105-mile-long stretch taking you through the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains. We will go to a beautiful waterfall for lunch before finishing the fantastic drive.

Day 6: Asheville, NC
Today we will be traveling to a hidden gem of the south – Asheville, North Carolina. This charming town of 100,000 people has 17 farmers markets with a fantastic restaurant and microbrewery scene. Asheville, or “Beer City USA” has some of the best hiking and water sports in the South as well.

Day 7: Asheville, NC
Today we keep exploring Asheville! You have the option to take a tour of the Biltmore Estate and partake in some wine tasting. If wine isn’t your taste you could take a tour of one of the many breweries in the town. You will also be able to experience some outdoor adventures like ziplining, paddle board the French Broad River or go for a hike in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Tonight we take in the nightlife of Asheville by enjoying some live music and great food.

Day 8: Nashville, TN
This morning we head for Nashville, Tennessee, home to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. But first we will visit Great Smokey Mountain National Park, one of the most famous parks in America. This evening you’ll get to experience Nashville, by possibly line dancing at “Tooties” bar and tasting Jack Daniels whiskey. Both being local products from the great state of Tennessee and represent southern culture.

Day 9: Nashville/Memphis, TN
This morning our group has an option to visit the Country Music Hall of Fame. Home to memorabilia from stars such as Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn and Garth Brooks. Afterwards, we will enjoy a tour of the city of Nashville including visiting the Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park. Then in the afternoon we set off for Memphis, Tennessee home to Elvis Presley and Graceland, the Civil Rights Museum and the famous Sun Studio. We will head out for Beale street tonight for some live music.

Day 10: Memphis, TN
Today is a free day. We suggest you to visit Graceland in the morning so you can learn more of Elvis Presley. Then in the afternoon you have the options of visiting Mud Island, the Civil Rights Museum, Sun Studios or go on a River Boat Cruse down the Mississippi River. Your leader will help you plan your day.

Day 11: Natchez, MS
Today we will be traveling to the crossroads of music, where Highway 61 crosses Highway 49 at Clarksdale, Mississippi. Where Robert Johnson, the godfather of the blues, sold his soul to the Devil. Clarksdale is the top city for the preservation of the arts and music of the Mississippi Delta. Today we have a chance to visit the Delta Blues museum. Then on to the first capital of the Mississippi Territory, Natchez, The birthplace of the Mississippi riverboat. Today take a self-guided walking tour through the streets of Natchez’ historic district with over 50 antebellum homes.

Day 12: New Orleans, LA
This morning we set of early to New Orleans which is located on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. New Orleans is rich in the Bayou spirit and has a lot to offer you. First we will take boat tour through the swamps and you will have the chance to see an alligator. You will also be exploring the French quarter of the city, where you will get to experience some true southern food. Tonight we will have a farewell dinner before going out for a night of fun in one of the best party spots in America.
